DSX: Dust Monitoring Software
Dust monitoring and assessments are needed worldwide. With DustScan’s DSX dust monitoring software, you can easily analyse your dust samples from the comfort of your office. Say goodbye to the hassle of couriers and manage your own dust monitoring projects in-house.
Web-based Dust Analysis Software
DSX is a powerful new addition to DustScan’s arsenal of dust monitoring capabilities. This software enables our global customer base to rapidly receive results for their sticky pad dust samples. It removes the need for couriers and postage, allowing clients to manage their own dust monitoring projects efficiently.
DustScan’s dedicated dust monitoring team has continually developed our bespoke in-house software to analyse over 145,000 dust samples. We now offer a licensed version for use anywhere in the world.
With just a computer, flatbed scanner, DustScan dust monitoring gauge, and an internet connection, you can start producing your own dust monitoring results and reports in no time.
Once your sticky pads are exposed and sealed with a sheet of acetate, simply scan and analyse them using DSX. Users can enter monitoring site, project, and sampling point information to create their own dust sample database.
Our unique dust analysis software evaluates the dust scan images by examining both the dust coverage (Absolute Area Coverage, or AAC) and the darkness or soiling effect of the dust (Effective Area Coverage, or EAC). These two measurements are then combined to report a ‘nuisance risk’ potential.
Training is fully provided by the DustScan team, and the software is designed to be easy to use with advanced automatic masking for any non-dust materials on the sticky pads. Our DSX software is highly automated, repeatable, and objective, delivering accurate results every time.
Further analysis of any sticky pads (such as asbestos screening, metals and silica testing, and further consultancy) is also available but currently remains in-house at DustScan HQ.
