DSX
Dust monitoring and assessments are needed worldwide. You can now use DustScan’s DSX software to analyse your samples from the comfort of your office. Remove the hassle of couriers and manage your own dust monitoring projects in house.
Web-based software
DSX is a new addition to DustScan’s arsenal of monitoring capabilities and enables our worldwide customer base to rapidly recieve results for their sticky pad dust samples, removing the hassle of couriers and postage and enabling clients to manage their own projects.
DustScan’s dust monitoring team have been constantly developing our bespoke in-house software to analyse over 145,000 dust samples and can now offer a licensed version for its use anywhere in the world.
Only a computer, flatbed scanner, a DustScan dust monitoring gauge and an internet connection is required to begin producing your own dust monitoring results and reports.
Once your exposed sticky pads have been sealed with a sheet of acetate, you are able to scan and analyse these using DSX. Users can enter monitoring site, project and sampling point information and create your own sample database.
Our unique software analyses the dust scan images by both examining the dust coverage of the pads (Absolute Area Coverage (AAC)) and the darkness/soiling effect of the dust (Effective Area Coverage (EAC)). These two measurements are then combined to report a ‘nuisance risk’ potential.
Training is fully provided by the DustScan team, and the software is designed to be easy to use with advanced automatic masking for any non-dust materials on the sticky pads. Our software has been designed to be highly automated, repeatable and objective.
Further analysis on any of the sticky pads (such as asbestos screening, metals and silica testing and further consultancy) is also available but currently remains inhouse at DustScan HQ.
